拉伐始于1878年的瑞典，当时Gustaf de Laval先生发明了离心式奶油分离器引领了奶业的变革。Gustaf de Laval先生不仅仅是杰出的发明家，还是一个非凡的实业家。他的理想不仅在于改进机器设备，更注重改善人与动物的生存条件，他一直坚信这是可以达成的。
利拉伐是全球最大的乳业机械设备生产销售商，它拥有全球最大的销售服务网络，业务遍及全球110多个国家和市场，有50多个销售公司，100多万用户；专业为牧场提供完善的牛群管理方案和备受信赖的售后服务。
利拉伐在中国
1979年，第一套利拉伐设备在深圳投产
深圳光明华侨农场在当时引进了第一套利拉伐设备，建立起新中国第一个奶厅（运行至今），它为长期奶业停滞不前的中国奶业引进和输送了崭新的先进技术，堪称一次中国乳业史的里程碑事件。而在1989年，利拉伐就在广州设立了分公司，业务遍布全国各地牛场，而且赢得了客户的良好评价。
1984年，中瑞北京奶业中心成立
1984年，中国瑞典奶业中心的成立。这是中国自改革开放以来，引进国外先进技术建立起来的第一个奶业培训、产品开发机构。
在为期15年的项目过程中，中瑞奶业中心对4000多名中国学员进行了乳制品加工以及奶牛养殖的培训。其中228名学员获得了中国教育部授权的大学学历，3名学生获得了SLU的硕士学位。今天，很多的学员已在中国大型乳制品企业担任重要职位。中瑞奶业中心在中国奶业赢得了声誉。
作为中国和瑞典王国两国政府间的科技合作项目，这个汇聚瑞典奶业最精锐技术力量的研究和培训机构，首开行业先河，从奶牛管理到乳品加工系统的教学、科研、生产三结合，堪称全方位的奶业培训单位。期间，利拉伐为北京三元免费引入安装一整套RTS系统（管道机），将欧洲最新牧场设备及技术经验，源源不断的输送到了中国。
1998年，研发计量瓶，走中国特色发展之路
在当时的中国牛场，存在一个相当普遍的现象：奶农分散饲养，奶站集中挤奶，奶牛养殖以散养户居多。所以如何合理卫生的收奶，成为挤奶收购的难题。
利拉伐深入中国牛场，针对这样有“中国特色”的奶牛场，探索出“有中国特色”发展模式的第一步，“计量瓶”的出现为很多奶牛散养户解决了困扰。它计量准确、直观可靠，满足了养殖户眼见为实的心理。从2000年推广至今，奶站设备在全国已经累计销售4000套，每天可以为几千个奶站、50万头奶牛挤奶，被称为“最贴近中国国情的挤奶设备”。这种贴近奶民的“发展中国家”模式，令利拉伐一举证明了自己拥有应对各种问题的能力，可以骄傲的说，“利拉伐不仅仅提供高端的产品，我们会根据客户不同的需要专注于提供不同的产品与服务”。
2000年后，关注牛奶品质，建设规模化牧场
2000年，瑞典利拉伐在上海设立了全资附属公司——利拉伐（上海）乳业机械有限公司，开始为中国现代化的大规模牧场提供解决方案并摘取了多个“第一”，利拉伐2002年在郑州花花装了中国第一个转盘，同年在大庆银螺装了中国第一套并列式挤奶机，2004年为中国第一个大牧场蒙牛澳亚牧场提供了全套的挤奶和牧场设备，包括中国第一台机器人……
积极参与支持中国奶业人才培养，包括：中国奶业协会自08年中旬起联合CCTV-7农业科技栏目在全国开展的11次“中国奶农培训计划”；国家“学生奶奶源升级计划”（简称“白雪计划”）项目的学生奶奶源基地牧场人员多次有关牛奶质量的培训活动；以及国家奶牛产业技术体系“金钥匙”培训工程等。
2008年，捐赠汶川大地震VMS全自动机器人挤奶系统
2008年，5·12汶川地震。利拉伐情系中国，为绵阳永丰牧场捐赠出VMS全自动机器人挤奶系统，让这个因天灾而不幸的地区，真正意义上实现了全自动化牧场的跨越性改变。爱与信任，利拉伐在中国留下的每一步足迹，都凝聚着同心同德、相濡以沫的真挚情谊。
2009年，中瑞奶业中心瑞出提升原奶品质新计划
中瑞奶业中心二期项目正式启动。项目重点由第一阶段的乳品加工转为着眼奶源建设、提升原奶品质。通过开展牧场管理人才培训及标准化流程制定，进一步促进中国奶业的可持续发展。中瑞奶业中心计划为中国培养50名专业型大型牧场管理人才，以及500名与世界先进奶牛饲养技术接轨的专业技术人员。
2011年，全能服务概念落地中国
利拉伐关注并充分相应客户需求，为客户提供预防性维护、咨询服务以及全年午休的24小时应急保障，为奶源质量的提高进一步夯实基础。首批30辆全能服务车配置到位，创国内同类企业之先河。车内各种服务测试工具一应俱全，可及时准确地维护及更换配件，确保挤奶流程的安全运行，进而保证牛奶质量。
