Brief Introduction 2016 

 

  中国农业大学工学院系2002年8月学校整合工学门类的部分骨干学科专业群,由原机械工程学院、车辆与交通工程学院和农业工程研究院三个单位共同组建而成,其发展历史源于上世纪50年代初期北京农业机械化学院创办的农业机械设计制造专业和农业机械化专业,以曾德超院士为主要代表的老一代知名专家教授为学院的奠基与发展做出了卓越贡献。

  历经60多年的发展,工学院现有教职工158人,其中教授42人、副教授58人、讲师14人。师资队伍中包括教育部“长江学者奖励计划”特聘教授2人、新世纪百千万人才工程国家级人选3人、北京市教学名师4人、北京市优秀教师2人、宝钢优秀教师奖获得者11人、享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家6人、农业部有突出贡献中青年专家5人、农业部产业技术体系岗位专家2人、教育部“新世纪优秀人才支持计划”8人、北京市科技新星5人。

  学院下设农业工程、车辆工程、机械设计制造和机电工程4个系,教学科研办公用房总面积达2.3万平方米,设施、设备以及科研、教学条件先进。学院设有机械与农业工程国家级实验教学示范中心、机械与农业工程国家级虚拟仿真实验教学中心、北京市高等学校涉农工程类大学生示范性校内创新实践基地、机械工程训练中心和大学生创新创业实践中心,设有现代农业装备与设施教育部工程研究中心、农业部土壤-机器-植物系统技术重点实验室、农业部可再生能源清洁化利用技术重点实验室、现代农业装备优化设计北京市重点实验室、农业部河北北部耕地保育科学观测实验站、农业部保护性耕作技术研究中心、国家农产品加工技术装备研发分中心、中国农业大学农业工程研究院、中国农业大学生物质工程中心、中国农业大学中国农业机械化发展研究中心、中国农业大学3D打印技术研究中心等。

  学院学科建设涉及农业工程、机械工程一级学科和农产品加工及贮藏工程二级学科。其中,农业工程学科目前是该一级学科全国唯一的国家重点学科,在2009年和2012年教育部组织的全国学科排名评估中均以较大优势位列第一;农业机械化工程学科,创建于1952年,是国内最早的硕士、博士学位授权点和博士后流动站点之一,曾诞生了我国第一号发明专利,分别于1986年、2002年和2007年连续三次被评为国家级重点学科,也是国家“211工程”和“985工程”首批重点建设学科;机械工程学科由1959年创办的首批国家重点学科“农业机械设计制造”发展而来,2007年获得一级学科博士授予权,其中车辆工程二级学科为部级重点学科;农产品加工及贮藏工程二级学科为国家重点学科,农产品干燥学科方向产生了首批全国百篇优秀博士论文。

  学院人才培养体系完备,现有本科生1150名,硕士研究生333名,博士研究生226名,留学生30名。设有农业工程和机械工程博士后流动站;农业工程、机械工程一级学科博士、硕士学位授权点;拥有农业机械化与装备工程、农业生物系统工程、车辆工程、机械设计及理论、机械制造及其自动化、机械电子工程和农产品加工及贮藏工程等7个二级学科博士授权点和硕士授权点;设有农业工程、机械工程、车辆工程、项目管理工程和工业设计工程5个工程硕士专业学位授权领域,以及农业机械化农业硕士专业学位授权领域;设有农业工程、机械工程两个本科专业大类,包括农业机械化及其自动化、农业工程、机械设计制造及其自动化、车辆工程、机械电子工程、工业设计6个本科专业。农业机械化及其自动化、车辆工程2个专业是教育部高等学校特色专业,农业机械化生产学和机械制造工程学为国家精品课程。

  按照“强化优势、突出创新、注重质量、再上水平”的建设思路,学院瞄准国际科技发展前沿和国家重大战略、产业需求,围绕农业机械化发展战略研究、旱地农业保护性耕作技术与机具、农田作业机械、农产品干燥理论与技术装备以及农产品加工、饲料加工、生物质工程、精准农业、农业机器人等技术装备和智能农业装备、农业装备数字化设计与虚拟现实、工业设计等优势科研领域,形成了特色和较强的学术影响力,其中保护性耕作技术装备、农业生物质工程等重点科研团队先后入选教育部“创新团队发展计划”和农业部“农业科研杰出人才及其创新团队”。多年来,学院在为国家制定相关政策法规、发展规划、行业标准提供了重要决策咨询的同时,先后取得了一大批重要科技成果,为推进我国现代农业产业升级和科技进步发挥了重要作用,其中获得国家科技进步二等奖以上成果12项,教育部、农业部及其他省部级及其以上科技成果奖励40余项。近年来,全院年均发表SCI和EI收录论文150余篇;年均获授权国家专利120余件,其中授权国家发明专利80余件。

  学院秉承“以人为本,人才强院”的办学理念,以培养具有创新精神和实践能力的高素质人才为核心目标,重在培养学生的科技创新实践能力,在课程建设和教学改革方面取得了丰硕的成果。先后获得国家教学成果奖2项,北京市教学成果一等奖5项,其他省部级教学成果奖10余项。“机械设计制造系列专业基础课程教学团队”获国家级优秀教学团队称号。本科生实践教学和创新能力培养成效显著,在全国大学生“挑战杯”课外学术科技作品竞赛、全国大学生机械创新设计大赛、美国大学生数学建模竞赛、全国大学生数学建模竞赛、中国机器人大赛暨RoboCup公开赛、“飞思卡尔”杯全国大学生智能车竞赛、“幻响杯”外观设计大赛、中国设计红星奖等各类学科和科技大赛中获得全国及省级以上各类奖项100余项。本科毕业生就业率连续多年位居全校领先地位。

  学院国际合作和交流日益广泛。先后与美国、德国、加拿大、英国、荷兰、挪威、日本、韩国、泰国、澳大利亚、俄罗斯、乌克兰、以色列等20多个国家和地区的60多所著名大学建立了较为密切的合作关系,承担了包括欧盟框架计划项目以及中英、中澳、中日、中比、中波等双边国际科技合作项目等的20多项国际合作项目。与美国普渡大学农业与生物工程系建立有农业工程专业本科生“2+2”联合培养项目,与英国哈珀亚当斯大学建立了双硕士学位研究生国际合作培养项目,与美国田纳西大学/美国橡树岭国家实验室建立了中美百名环境能源博士国际合作培养项目等。

 

  Following a university-wide reorganization, the College of Engineering (COE), China Agricultural University(CAU), was founded in August 2002, by merging of the former colleges of Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle and Transportation Engineering and the Agricultural Engineering Academy. COE’s history can be traced back to 1952, when the Beijing Mechanized Agriculture College was founded. COE, taking teaching and researching as a core, is committed to develop highly qualified engineering disciplines and to bring up acquainted engineers with ability.

  COE comprises 4 departments: Agricultural Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering and Mechanical Design & Manufacturing, respectively. Now, the staff number is 158, including 114 faculty members, 42 professors and 58 associate professors. Most of the faculty members possess doctoral degrees. In addition, there are 30 adjunct professors from various famous international and domestic universities and institutions. The total enrollment is over 1700 students, including 1150 undergraduates, 333 MSc. students and 226 Ph.D. students. The state key disciplines, the Agricultural Engineering and the Agricultural Mechanization Engineering, were recognized as a top priority by the state through funding from the '211' and '985' projects and have been consistently ranked No.1 in evaluations by the Ministry of Education in 2002, 2009 and 2012. Vehicle Engineering is the ministry level key discipline.

  COE has 2 Post-Doctoral Programs which cover Agricultural Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. About 8 Graduate Programs are authorized to confer Ph.D. degree and MSc. degree, including Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Mechanization Engineering, Agricultural Biological System Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical Manufacture and Automation, Mechanical Design and Theory, Processing and Storage of Agricultural Products. There are also 5 programs for Master Engineering: Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering; Vehicle Engineering, Project Management Engineering and Industrial Design Engineering, and 1 program for Master of Agriculture, named as Agricultural Mechanization. There are 6 BSc. Programs, which are Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Mechanization and Automation, Mechatronic Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Machine Manufacturing and Automation, Industrial Design. Plenty of opportunities are provided for students to gain practical hands-on experience through specialized experimental laboratories. Each year, there are many students who participate in the Undergraduate Research Program (URP) and the National Science and Technology Innovation Competition, winning many prizes. The employment rates of the graduates were the highest in CAU in past 10 years.  

  Currently, COE possesses a 23,000m 2 building and well equipped with advanced teaching, research and practical learning facilities, including 2 National Experimental Teaching Centers and 7 Ministry/Provincial level key R&D institutions.

  During past decades, COE's innovation emphases have been laid on the areas of Development Strategy for Agricultural Mechanization, Conservation Tillage, Precision Farming, Farm Machine, Off-Road Vehicle, Agro-Robotics & Automation, Digital Design & Virtual Reality, Agro Product Processing, Nondestructive Detection and Machine Vision, Biomass Engineering etc.. Many faculty members have led and taken part in research projects of different levels. Among them, the state-level research projects were usually funded by the National Natural Science Foundation Commission, the Ministry of Science & Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Education, etc. Other projects have been sponsored by local governments and various industry enterprises. Some international cooperative projects were funded by European Framework Program, international organizations and industry groups. Every year, about 150 SCI/EI cited academic papers were published, about 120 invention patents were authorized, and many research and teaching prizes from national and provincial governments were awarded to faculty members. In fact, the very first patent of the People’s Republic of China came from COE.

  International cooperation with learning and research has been a major objective for COE. Multinational or mutual academic links have been widely established with foreign universities and research organizations. Cooperative projects have been carried out with American, Japanese, European, Australian, and various international partners. The faculty members and students have benefited greatly from participating in international meetings, seminars, and workshops. COE and ABE at Purdue University, USA have established a special '2+2' Undergraduate Transfer Student Program based on existing model between the two universities. A Collaborative Professional Dual Masters Degree Program between COE and Agricultural Engineering Department of Harper Adams University, UK is in operation. COE and University of Tennessee & Oak Ridge National Laboratory have established China-US 100-PhD Program of Environment and Energy. Nowadays, COE holds an esteemed international reputation, partly due to these cooperation and exchange activities.
